This project focused on eliminating persistent rodent infestations in a single-family residence in Surrey, BC. Using our humane exclusion techniques, we sealed structural entry points, restored damaged insulation, and ensured the home remains rodent-free — without the use of poisons or harmful traps.
Project Overview
The homeowner experienced months of recurring rodent noise and insulation damage caused by rats accessing the attic through multiple roofline gaps. Our team performed a complete inspection of the property, identifying over 20 potential entry points. The objective was to design a lasting solution that addressed the problem at its source — through humane exclusion, sanitation, and repair.
The Challenge
Traditional pest control approaches using poison baits and traps had failed to stop re-entry. The rodents had created tunnels through insulation, gnawed electrical cables, and left droppings in several attic corners. The challenge was to safely remove active rodents, close all hidden structural openings, and restore the property without disturbing the homeowner’s routine.

Step 1
Inspection & Mapping
A full property assessment identified all active and potential rodent pathways, including vents, soffits, and pipe penetrations.
Step 2
Exclusion & Repair
Entry points were sealed using rodent-proof mesh and metal flashing. Attic insulation was repaired and sanitized.
Step 3
Follow-Up & Prevention
Post-service monitoring ensured zero re-entry. The client also received a prevention checklist for long-term maintenance.
Results & Impact
The property is now fully secured with zero re-entry six months after completion. Energy efficiency improved due to new insulation, and all rodent activity was permanently eliminated.
